Our Counsellor Services

Our staff are trained in nurture principles, attachment and trauma and we run interventions using the zones of regulation, Lego Therapy and Anger Gremlin.  We also have support staff trained in developing emotional literacy. 

For children who need a little more support, we are pleased to be able to offer counselling sessions.

Referrals

Referrals to our School Counsellor, Donna Tonkinson, can be made by parents/ carers and any teaching staff in school. All referrals must be directed to Mrs Woodhall. 

Session information

All sessions are strictly confidential unless there is safeguarding issue and this will be shared with the Designated Safeguarding Lead. Sessions are delivered over 6-10 weeks and last approximately 45 minutes depending on many factors including age. 

Sessions are arranged so that their class learning is impacted as little as possible.

Our Counselling Room 

Our counselling room is a safe space for anyone who needs it. It is a calm and relaxing space where children can choose to do fun activities or to simply talk.
