Nursery
Welcome to Nursery
In Nursery we love to learn outside which is where we spend most of our time, exploring our school grounds and local community. Don't forget to dress for the weather and bring lots of spares in a bag. We use lots of resources from the world around us to develop our understanding of lots of different concepts, we love singing songs and reading stories too!
In Nursery there are lots of different adults who are here to help you and chat to your adults about any worries too! Please feel free to contact us at the bottom of this page or at drop off or pick up time. Mrs Laws is our Teacher, Mrs Dixon, Miss Hocking and Mrs Foster are our Teaching Assistants and we also have Mrs Nann and Miss Robertson who work with us in Nursery on an afternoon too.
See you soon!

Meet the staff
Hi! I am Mrs Laws, I am our EYFS Lead and Nursery Teacher. I have taught in lots of different classes but mainly in early years which is my favourite area of school to teach in! In my spare time I love spending time outdoors with my family, walking my dog Bella and eating lots of cake!
Hello, my name is Mrs Dixon. I am very excited to start working in nursery because I haven't worked in nursery for a long time. I love Disney and used to work in the Disney shop. In my spare time I like playing pool and go on lots of competitions with my son Kai.
Hi! I am Miss Hocking. I love working in nursery and setting up messy play activities. I enjoy going to the gym and going out for walks with my dog Cooper. I enjoy spending holidays in the Lake District exploring mountains and waterfalls but I don't like crossing rivers!
Hello, I am Mrs Nann. I usually work in the 2 Year room but will be joining you in nursery on an afternoon, reading stories are my favourite- I can wait to help put on shows using the puppets! I have a dog called Bella who I love taking for long walks and climbing mountains with- in all weathers! I love to dance and will often help put on shows when we're playing outside!
Hi! I am Miss Robertson. I am currently completing my apprenticeship at Catchgate. I enjoy reading stories and singing nursery rhymes with the children. In my spare time I spend time with my friends and going out for food. I am very busy in my spare time because I also work for Blueline.
Rights Respecting Schools in the Spring term!
Our school has a continued commitment to helping children learn about and understand their rights. Here are the individual rights we will be exploring across the school linking to our weekly themes.
